Children join Brett Roberts on a wild safari in search of a lion. Along the way, they’ll encounter some very unusual animals, discover fascinating things about the natural world, and learn why it’s important to protect the places animals call home.

But this isn’t just a show kids watch.

The kids become part of the safari!

An Interactive Safari Adventure for Kids

Somewhere out there is a lion…

And we’re going to find him!

Brett leads the audience on a hilarious imaginary safari where every stop brings a new surprise.

Children meet wacky animal puppets, help perform amazing magic, solve problems, and become part of the adventure through plenty of audience participation.

Volunteers aren’t brought onstage to be embarrassed or made into the joke. They’re there to help Brett complete the safari—and become the stars of the show.

It’s magic, puppetry, storytelling, books, animals, and adventure all rolled into one fast-paced children’s program.

Meet Some Wild & Wacky Animals

You never know what you’re going to meet on safari!

Throughout the adventure, Brett encounters a collection of hilarious animal characters who help introduce children to ideas about wildlife, habitats, conservation, and caring for our planet.

The animal puppets bring plenty of comedy to the show while giving children a fun way to think about real animals and the environments where they live.

Kids discover an important lesson:

Animals need healthy places to live—and so do we.

Teaching Kids About Conservation

Safari Adventure introduces conservation and environmental responsibility in a simple, positive way elementary-age children can understand.

Children discover that protecting wildlife also means protecting:

Habitats • Water • Plants • Natural Resources • Ecosystems • Our Environment

The goal isn’t to overwhelm young children with environmental problems.

Instead, Safari Adventure encourages them to understand that small choices can make a difference.

Taking care of our world helps make sure animals—and people—have healthy places to live for generations to come.

Every Animal Leads to a Book!

There’s more than one way to go on a safari.

You can open a book!

Each animal routine in Safari Adventure is connected to a children’s book, encouraging kids to continue exploring animals, wildlife, habitats, conservation, and the natural world after the show.

Books give children the opportunity to travel to distant places, encounter incredible animals, and learn about environments they may never experience in person.

By connecting each funny puppet character with a book, Safari Adventure helps turn children’s excitement about the show into excitement about reading and discovering something new.

Kids Learn a Magic Trick!

During the adventure, Brett doesn’t just perform magic.

He teaches the kids how to do it!

Children learn a real magic trick they can practice and perform themselves.

Learning magic encourages kids to listen carefully, follow directions, remember a sequence, practice, solve problems, and communicate with an audience.

Brett also encourages children who enjoy learning the trick to visit their library and discover something special:

Books that teach magic!

It’s another way Safari Adventure connects entertainment with reading and independent learning.

Science, Animals & Habitats

Safari Adventure naturally introduces several elementary science concepts through its animals and conservation theme.

Children explore ideas involving:

Animals • Habitats • Ecosystems • Interdependence • Conservation • Environmental Changes • Plants • Natural Resources

Kids discover that animals don’t live by themselves. They’re part of ecosystems where plants, animals, water, weather, and the environment are connected.

That makes Safari Adventure a fun complement to classroom lessons about life science, habitats, ecosystems, and environmental responsibility.

Reading & Literacy Connections

Every animal routine promotes a book, making reading an important part of the adventure.

Children are encouraged to connect what happens during the show with information and stories they can discover in books.

The program reinforces skills including:

Reading Comprehension • Making Inferences • Vocabulary • Text-to-World Connections • Following Directions • Sequencing • Listening

Most importantly, it gives children another reason to visit the library and read:

They want to learn more about the animals they just met!

Geography & Social Studies Connections

Where do lions live?

What about elephants, giraffes, and other animals?

A safari theme gives children a natural opportunity to think about geography, different environments, people and places around the world, and the relationship between humans and the natural world.

These connections can help turn a silly puppet encounter into the beginning of a much bigger conversation in the classroom or library.

TEKS & STAAR Connections

Safari Adventure combines entertainment with concepts and skills elementary students encounter throughout the school year.

Reading

Books and storytelling reinforce comprehension, inference, vocabulary, sequencing, and connecting information to real-world experiences.

Science

Animals and conservation reinforce concepts involving habitats, ecosystems, interdependence, environmental changes, and living things.

Social Studies

The safari adventure introduces ideas involving geography, environments, cultures, and human interaction with the natural world.

Critical Thinking

Magic and interactive challenges encourage children to make predictions, follow sequences, recognize cause and effect, and solve problems.

Communication

Audience participation gives children opportunities to listen, respond, follow directions, speak clearly, and participate confidently in front of others.

These connections reinforce skills found in Texas TEKS and STAAR assessments while keeping the experience entertaining.

Perfect for Elementary Schools & Libraries

Safari Adventure is a great choice for:

Elementary School Assemblies • Public Library Programs • Reading Events • Science Programs • Conservation Programs • Earth Day Events • Family Nights • Educational Children’s Events • Camps • Community Programs

The show is designed primarily for elementary-age children and combines enough magic, comedy, puppetry, and audience participation to keep young audiences engaged while introducing meaningful educational ideas.
